That is pretty much my approach to things too! I have recently been buying a magazine called 'Simply Knitting' which has excellent patterns as well as good instructional sections. Great if you are learning. I like to crochet as well - but I am entirely self taught with that. I would like to get much better, but I need more hours in the day!!!

Good grief! I knitted a sweet corn once, but that's sane by comparison. Actually, I knit a lot of Kaffe Fassett stuff... or rather, I have several projects in various stages of completion stored in boxes in the attic. I haven't dared pick up a pair of knitting needles since we exceeded a dozen cats. They don't mix that well with tapestry either... cat

I think we have more cats than just about anyone! We did have 18 at one time, but we've lost a few in recent years. The numbers don't go down much though. The last two were ferals I picked out of our local woods and tamed myself. The latest came from a neighbour's son after a marriage break up. We probably have more ferrets than most sane people too Whistle

All ours are either strays, or ferals I've trapped and tamed myself. I've had begging e-mails from people asking us to take on their cats too. I tend to think if fate sends an animal my way, then it was meant to be Smile
