Crying or Very sad Feeling very angry Evil or Very Mad today I think it was a fox attack.
feathers all over the run and up the fence which is quite high
just over the other side of the stream there was a big pile of feathers in a circle lying on the ground no sign of my drake luckily my duck must have escaped in to the pen next door
she was safe with the black runners. our Friend said may be a mink but I don`t see how that would have dragged a fully grown duck up a fence did a search on stream bank and found foot prints I think they were two heavy in the mud to have been a cat so my prim suspect is a fox I have had trouble last year
with some of my chickens going missing what ticks me off is i
have three fox traps set around and they just ignore them

So sorry to hear about your poor duck. Its a dreadful moment finding those piles of feathers isn't it - after you've cared for them so much.

Crying or Very sad I was hoping they were going to live to a ripe old age .
and have a long and happy life . oh sh##t the water works again, not feeling very good about it at the moment. they
were both very tame and would run over to me .always the first to put there heads in the food bucket, life can be a bit twisted at times. you get the joy of new life then you lose
some thing in return. b##er.!!

So sorry Bird Babe. I know exactly how you must have felt with the piles of feathers. Lost my first 4 girls whilst I was away and someone else was looking after them. I came home to piles of feathers all over the garden. I had to gt out and clear them up straight away I couldn't bear to see them ~ thinking of my poor babies with each one I picked up.
Take care, you gave him a good life. Sometimes we just have to have a downer so we can appreciate the highs.
