I read somewhere that humidity isn't so crucial for the British Isles because there is a high environmental humidity. Read it ages ago on PP I think. I would have thought that you being on an island would mean that your normal humidity is highish anyway. ASs I recall, and it's some months ago now, mine was not much more than that, and even at the end when I attempted to raise it, I never quite reached optimum for long.
