As you can see i am now trying to persuade them that outside is not big and scary. They are are really not convinced by this but they had to be cleaned out!! :-&
Apart from Niblet who has taken on evil bully role the rest just continue to dash round the garden aimlessly not paying them any great attention.
I am quite keen to try to get them all in the same house now as i think it will be warmer for the ovenreadies. I am sure they will hold their own but it is just horrible to see them all being so violent and blood start to flow.
What do you guys think? Should i just leave them all to it or keep them separate for a little bit longer? |

Right, that is it - I give up! No more woolies for the girls. They don't like them - or was it just that the blue one was causing gender disorientation??
I went to the charity shop and brought two lovely cardies - couldn't bring myself to tell the lady what i was planning to do with them when she commented on how gorgeous they were. I get home and wield the scissors furiously.
Next step is to grab unsuspecting girl who really doesn't like me anyway at the moment! Well you can picture what comes next. I manage to restrain her sufficiently to get the damn thing on but no - she squiggles and wriggles and is out of there quicker then you can say Bernard Matthews!!
So that is it - they have voiced their opinions on my attempts to keep the chill off and i can fight it no more!
And to top it all, Niblet the evil bully made herself conspicuous by her absence earlier. I called, i rattled corn and two minutes later heard a frustrated squawking from 3 gardens up. Off i trot in my "comfortable" leggings and plastic wellie shoes - not a pretty sight i can assure you.
Please can i have my chicken back has a rather odd ring to it when the neighbours did not know of their existence....
And finally, the long walk with the squiggling chook tucked tightly under my arm. The things we do for fun eh! |
