One of my Pekins walked around for quite a few days with a little bit of poo stuck to her. I left it and it came off of it's own accord. I guess the advantage of being the Incubator parent, is that you can pick her up and do those sort of things Very Happy

I tried with a bit of damp kitchen towel earlier as I thought it was just the shell, but it doesn't want to move and I was worried I might do something wrong, and also didn't want it to get chilled

Think I'll have a look in the morning and see if it's the same

thanks

I think I understood they need to be left to absorb the yolk, maybe some of this is that. It sounds like it might be better, as you have decided, to leave it for now.

It doesn't seem to bother him and he's a happy chappy, so think i'll leave it a bit longer

He's also a bit hungry, bless, put them in the brooder this morning, and he's scoffing away
so is knobby, but we all knew he'd do that !

Thanks mojo,

It's on your advice that I'm not too worried about those Laughing

I thought one was pipping but now I'm not so sure, it could just be a bit of egg from one of the hatched ones

Cheers
George
