Mum and Dad use carpet to cover theirs when not using bits but one year the weeds started growing through the carpet Rolling Eyes That was hard work to sort out.

Fishermead Sad but never mind. Seriously though it's not that bad as long as you stay indoors Wink
My parent's allotment that I'm sharing is in new bradwell. They wanted a good reason to keep going and having to drive car-less little me over there seemed as good as any.

No the schools aren't too bad in Fishermead, my little boy goes to school on the estate and I'm happy with that. I just want to move before he gets to secondary school as woughton is a bit dodgy.
What are the allotments like over woughton?

I love mine! I have got great neighbours immediately around my plot and some of the 'old' boys wonder over to help an Aussie bird...personally i think they watch me struggle...then offer!

The soil was pretty pants but brilliant now! this is my 3rd year. You're welcome ( you too Lisa) to check it out!

Might take you up on that, I'd be interested to know how you sorted the soil as my garden is nasty. I broke a bone in my foot the year before last because I was trying to dig and was getting more and more angry, stabbing harder and harder with the fork, then lost concentration and got my foot instead of the ground Embarassed Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes OUCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
