We're all worried about bird flu but does anyone know what the long term out come is anticipated to be? What I mean is, is it the sort of disease that is likely to be with us for good (I mean the avian sort not a human variant) or would anything cause it to burn itself out or make it less of a threat. I ask because if we are asked to stop chickens from free ranging with limited human contact, would that be seen to be a permanent arrangement for people wanting to keep chickens. Suppose its not an easy question just wondered if anyone new anything.
