JACK DANIELS CAKE

1 box dark chocolate cake mix
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey
1/2 cup black coffee
1/4 cup broken pecan pieces
1 very ripe banana
1 stick butter, softened
Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

In the bowl of an electric mixer combine all together, except the pecan pieces. Mix on medium-high 1-2 minutes until ribbon like consistency is achieved (do not over mix or cake will be tough).

Spray a Bundt cake pan with Pam to coat lightly.

Put pieces of nuts in the bottom. When cake mix is mixed well, pour batter into the pan, level off in center, and bake 45-50 min or until toothpick inserted in center is nearly clean.

Translation for a couple of stateside terms (for those confused):
Bundt pan - a large round cake tin with a hole in the middle (doughnut shaped, but very deep)
Pam - non-stick spray cooking oil

American style cooking doesn't weigh the flour, but just scoops out dry and wet ingredients in the same measuring cup. I think a cup is 8oz - but that American ounces. I forget as my American pyrex measuring cup busted a while back. Anyone know of UK/US conversion tables?

Yes, my secret is out.... I'm from the US originally... but don't tell Knobby - he's already said we've talk "funny" up here on Lewis... Confused

If my memory serves me correctly, one US stick of butter is 1/4 lb - so about 115gm (4oz)
