on close inspection it's a bit of a mess Confused
pretty sure the bones ok, the skin is broken quite badly under his foot as well as on his leg Sad it's pretty swollen as well
he's eating and drinking really well and is still trying to be flighty which is a good sign
He's on box rest now and we'll see how he goes.
got another one in as well so they can keep each other company
My poor friend was horrified, he was trying to follow her in the door and she didn't see him

Bear in mind that even an injured or very sick bird will act normally by instinct. Are you absolutely 100% that it isn't broken or fractured because it makes me feel sick to think that it might be and he may be in agony and all the while hiding it as his instincts tell him to.
Could you not just take him to a vet to be absolutely 100% that he isn't sufferring? Most vets charge only a small amount to see birds. My main vet charges £3 and the other charges £5 consultation fee.
Even if it is a small fracture gangrene could set in and kill him slowly and all the while he is trying to appear healthy and strong Crying or Very sad

I believe that the roo is no more. Debs is extremely good with her animals and does everything she can for them.
