Hi y'all
When do you switch from growers mash to layers - My 3 chooks -a Rhode Island Red, a Bovans Nera and a Susex Lite are 20 weeks old and not laying yet! When, oh when?
My bag of growers mash is nearly finished. I have a full bag of layers pellets which I've been mixing a handful of, in with the mash.
So do I need to buy another bag of growers or are they old enough to go to layers? |

When I brought my four hybrids home at about 20 weeks I was told to put them straight onto layers. Out of the four only the Bovans has laid, but she's given us an egg almost every day - several of them double yolkers |
