I gave the girls a warm mash made up of sweetcorn and pellets mixed with some warm water from the kettle this morning as it's really cold out there.
All four of them went mad for it until Monica decided to be greedy and stand in the dish so that the other three couldn't get at any of it! (Either that or she was warming her feet, who can tell?!)
Soooo... I was sneaky and went and made some more and put it in another dish at the other end of the run so that everyone could have some.
Monica is now running between the dishes and as soon as she gets to one, the other three make a mad dash to the other one. It's so funny watching her being all miffed that the other three are getting plenty from both dishes where as she isn't getting much at all as she's running between the two dishes!
Silly chicken! |

Ours got porridge this morning, too. We accidentally bought a bag of mash, so they got some of that, poultry spice, linseed oil and warm water. Danny, Daryl, Sheila and Janey were well and truly going for it when I left them |
