I'm sorry Summayah, my weekends are so busy I hardly have time to turn on the pc at all. Have only just now turned it on - first time since Friday evening so I've only just got your pm. I really am sorry! Have sent you a pm.

They have arrived safely Very Happy

Have installed them in temporary run next to main run. That's given them all something to talk about - I've never heard my lot so vocal! Fefe Speckeldy and Matilda Maran are shaping up to each other through the wire, but all three new girls are tucking into their mash with gusto.

My 'office' is just the other side of the chicken run so I can hear their chatter and I can peek out the window to watch them. Will post some pics soon.

thanks for posting the pics Jooles ~ they look peaceful don't they.
I really ought to apologise in advance and also behind ~ I haven't been able to handle the girls for the past 6 months or so because of my disability ~ so they could all be a little flighty.
This mornings were worse than the first lot!

Oh summayah, I really feel for you. It is no doubt a great comfort knowing they are going to loving homes, but I don't know how you managed.

Do look after yourself, we all love you here Very Happy

Wow, I'm new here, but even I have tears in my eyes. What a wonderful group of people you are. I haven't gotten to read all the old posts to get to know you all but my Goodness, you all are amazing. I maybe half way across the world and I may not understand some of your lingo, but, whew, what a wonderful group of people. I'm honored to be a part of this group.

Good luck with your surgery summayah, you will be in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

thank you everyone ~ it's nice to read on the other thread that the girls are settling in. I also heard from Jooles, that she had been able to handle matilda and charlie ~ she made the most noise when I had to put her in a box. Marmalade is a little like a helicopter she flies upwards first.
The house is beginning to look a little bare now ~ yet there have only been 5 girls packing their bags. I guess I just might not go in it for a while once it's completely empty.

Aw Summayah, it must all seem very empty. Good thing is you can keep up to date with them on here and maybe you'll find a way of having them back when you're completely recovered Very Happy

I've told everyone who has been kind enough to give my girls new homes, that I won't take them back. I know just how much this is hurting me and some I've only had for 3 months ~ so I wouldn't want to hurt someone else in the same way.
I have another 4 packing their bags as I speak, they're off to Chelmsford tomorrow. Then it will be down to 10 small girls. I think I might get them to go in the small house for the last 2 nights as it's been so cold recently.
Do you think they would be too cold in the 8' x 6' shed ~ 4 bantams and 10 pekins, if we have frost again at the nights ?

Absolutely, don't stamp to hard and spoil your new hip when you get it.

I've had Muppet since (I can't remember) and for most of that time, I've known she's Knobby's and I know that when he comes to get her, I'll be fine. I think all those kind people who have fostered your chicks would be gald for you to have them back, however long that takes Very Happy

I think NannyP has got it right! Very Happy

But if it helps, this will be the last time I say it, I don't want to upset you by keeping going on about it.

So here it is...

If and when you are ready to have Pricsilla and Henrietta back, all you have to do is say... ok?
