Does anyone know of any tried and tested traditional remedies for common ailments and parasites?

ACV (apple cider vinegar, the cloudy stuff for horses) at a 2% ratio to water in a plastic waterer for general well being, 1 week a month.

Diatom (fossilized earth) for worms and for mites.

All of this can be found by reading through the Golden Nuggets area and the Feeding and Housing area. Wink

Thanks debs,
Great this sounds just what I was looking for. That diatom seems like fantastic stuff. I wanted to keep the hens on a natural diet as possible. Have just ordered some diatom and the cyder vinegar for the girls off the net... eeasy peazy!
