I always thought it was 30 days
BUT
it's day 27 and it's pipped
so is it meant to be between 28 and 30 or is mine early?

It depends on the breed,
Chinese start pipping around day 27 with a 30 hatch
Light breed pipping 27-30 and hatch 30 - 33
Heavy breeds pipping 31 - 33 hatch 34 - 36

I'll let you know when it pops out
The runner that hatched while I was out is long and skinny though.
Go out for 3 hours and 1 goose pips, 1 duck and 2 chicks hatch
