Sunshine, the Barnevelder bantam who was the star of so many of our pictures & videos, has died. Crying or Very sad

She was only just over 4 years old & had been losing weight for a little while. She had no other symptoms so we can only guess she died of 'old age'.

She will be very badly missed. Crying or Very sad

There is nothing that I can say that will ease the pain.

oohhh nnnoooooo CP, AR, what terrible news. She was such a star! I hope you two and the boys are ok. Did she have any other signs about from loosing weight?

Thanks for all your condolences, it really helps.

She hadn't been bad for very long. She seemed bright eyed & relatively happy (as far as you can tell with a chicken!)

She was wormed with the rest of them a couple of months ago. She didn't have any swellings or discharges, or anything really. Maybe a few runny poos, but that has only been in the last 4/5 days, which may just have been because she wasn't eating properly.

Just one of those things, I guess? Sad

That's really sad news Sad It sounds as though you have lots of pics and film of her so you have lots to look back on.

so sorry to hear of your loss, but at least you have the memories she gave you and the knowledge that she lived in a loving home until the end. Take care.
