the Chilli fiesta is usually early August and the Totally Tomato show is usually early September . West Dean is near to Chicester ( And next to Singleton open air museum which is worth a visit too)

We could have a ( mini) Pk day out there that'd be so cool ! Very Happy

More Info here on West dean And the Weald and Downland Here

Jamie has just been with the school. Loved it.

Would like to know about the show too.

Perhaps a notice board with all the known show dates might be good.

BTW just read this thought it might be interesting. Lots of tips on growing herbs etc....

Just collected some seeds from a few chillis I threw out as too old for cooking but will grow nice plants next year.

A few months ago I had a Chinese student stay and he said that in China they put garlic bulbs in water and grow the stems for salads. Rolling Eyes

That sounds interesting Very Happy
We've had Mojo's carrot, parsnip, turnip and potato recipe tonight. Mark cooked, because I'm not so well. I decided to add loads of garlic (for health) and I think we went a bit too far, and it wasn't cooked garlic. So folks, stand back, you won't want to be near me for a few days Laughing Embarassed

I have my first garlic shoots just come through over the weekend. So I shall be transplanting into an old tin bath that I have been growing leeks in. Very pleasing. Cool
