hi all
we need all your help to lobby your local parliment member
the government have not yet asked for a licence from brussels to be granted for the vaccine for our birds here in the uk

a number of vets and poultry breeders are calling for the government to pull their finger out and get sorted.
if they do not the problem will be here and it will be to late
like myself other breeders have spent years getting their stock to where they are now, also the general public who have fowl in their back gardens as pets, also stand to lose their much loved friends
if all can lobby government we stand a chance of getting this vaccine here and used before its to late

Isn't it sad when a country has to ask permission from another country to do something that is for the common good of the initial country? Very sad state of affairs.

I have emailed my MP who has confirmed he will certainly raise it in the commons. His secratary has also provided this link for the most up to date commons chat on the subject.

He will apparently reply in writing so I shall let you know what occurs. I beleive he will be pressing the matter of the 'possibility of vaccination for fowl kept as functional pets', This will mean anyone who is keeping fowl but not strictly as a business but as a means to self sufficiency or as pets.
