nine chicks between 5 broodies isn't that much, and she already knows about 6 of them Very Happy
Did she know one of them was missing, if so she must have a good idea what she's gone missing for Very Happy

Well I did mean it thats the problem. And I didnt mean for mroe chicks to hatch, specialy the x breeds. Luckily Dot hasnt hatched anymore, and took all the eggs away today as it was light. Talk to mum tomoz, with any luck

Good luck with your mum, Ruth. I can only echo what NannyP said be honest with her (she deserves the truth from you) and then try even harder to mean it when you say it won't happen again, unless she agrees.
Perhaps you should go to her with the prettiest chick in your hands ~ then maybe she will forgive you (who can resist a new chick?).
