O dear, it always happens this way. 5 broodies at the same time, like earlier this year. And hate to break this to her, but all have chicks . I honestly didn't want anything to hatch though!! So, I have the fwollowing:
Bluebelle - 6 pekin x dutch, looknig like 5 pullets and 1 roo aged 3 weeks.
Martha and Maureen - sharing a black pekin chick, probs a cockerel
Luna - Black marans x pekin chick, biggest thing I've ever seen!! Its massive, hatched today, mum don't know bout that 1
Dot - So far 1 blue pekin chick, but she on a heap of eggs, which I thouht were guniea fowl eggs, and now obviously are not, but was dark in the shed so couldnt do anythnig cept leave them there. Mum don't know bout that lot either, so definately dead!
If you don't hear from me, you know why

Don't worry, It's a well known fact you can only get killed once.

You can always bank on George and I being reassuring
Fangs, the only way you can avoid your mother killing you is survive this time and then be good and break your broodies each time |

Or alternative, put all the blame on your mother, saying if she hadn't made you do so many chores you might have had time to break the broodies |

Have a great time,
is your mum feeding the hens while your away?
That would save you telling her about all the new arrivals |

LOL!! Someone's gonna be in trouble
Plan C: tell her you have some awful news to tell her. Really bad. Build it up to be terrible. You can hardly bring yourself to tell her, etc, etc...
And by the time you tell her you're expecting more chicks she'll just be so relieved you're not expecting twins!! |
