|
|
Hi,
I'm new to the forum, and was hoping someone could help.
I have 4 black rocks, which i suspect are 22weeks old. I brought them at i think 18weeks old.
2 are laying and another Mayble had her first egg today.
Its a deformed shape, and the shell is very very soft.
Heres some pics:
I feed them layers mash, some mixed corn (not alot), fresh vegetables and kitchen odds and sods. They have crushed oyster shell available and can free range on about 1/4acre with various terrains.
Ive had no problems with the others??
Do i have any reason to worry?
Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
It's probably just that she hasn't into the string of laying yet. They quite often lay 'funny' eggs when they first start

| I wouldn't worry unduly, as Debs says the first eggs are often a little strange and soft. They soon start laying regular size and shape. |
