I think Speckledies are lovely hens. They lay a nice lot of eggs which increase in size in their second year. If given the choice I would go for the ones with a white head as I think they make a more attractive hen.
Most of these are in their second year and still lay on most days |

Hi Debs, Mrs Kitchen is a lovely name. My little girl is called White Head. She came as a day old with another called Black Head to keep a lone duckling company. When I got home with them the duckling was dead. No laughing please. This is very sad stuff  |

there were 5 cats and 2 dogs glaring at here and she wasn't bothered in the slightest
they look loads better with white heads
she's broody at the minute, pinching everyegg she can find
she is such a character, pecks on the window when she wants to come in  |
