My Shetland Cockerels will be for the pot soon. What should I do with them in the weeks leading up to this event?

Feed them lots of corn and acv twice daily for 10 days before you do it Wink

I was also thinking of restricting them for a week, to increase the effect of more calories. It sounds so calous Confused

I have also been told that if you take their water away for the three days prior and replace it with milk....that the fat is supposed to break down better and the meat is more tender. Sort of the same idea as veal.

Not heard the milk one, but avc is supposed to be good

from mojo the murderer......for 1 week afore .........restrict movement.ie in cat box........feed ad lib maize and corn....stop 48 hours before deadly deed...........milk till 48 hours before then water ........acv not needed as it takes at least 48 hours to be absorbed and go to work..............after deadly dead plunge into very hot water and pluck from feet to throat................hang for 24 hours ( or clean immediately) clean and draw then ........cook and ENJOY..... and yes i am a carnivore.....................mojo.....each to their own thing
