First, relax...take a deep breath. Now, go to the Golden Nuggets area and look at the thread for incubation. Being as you are having the broody do all the work, it is just for informational/development purposes on your part. You can candle the eggs on the proper days. Broodies tend to hatch them out a day ahead of schedule...wierd, I know.
I will look to see if you have an email address on file and I will send you the calender and charts.
Then...sit back, wait and anticipate your new babies. Prepare the camera. Buy the cigars. |

hello, congratulations on your broody. I've only ever hatched eggs with a broody and really there is nothing to it as far as you are concerned, the broody will do what is natural for her. I had mine in her own nest box in her own house and she took herself out each day for a drink and poo ~ quick dust bath ~ and then back onto the eggs. I also used to put a handful of corn in with her at night ~ in the nest box because she wouldn't get out apart from the one time each day.
My first lot hatched at 19 days there were pekin bantams and the 2nd lot lf orpingtons took 20 days.
Hope it goes well for you |

| I've not hatched any chicks, either way. Just wanted to say good luck - and enjoy! |

The anticipation is immense waiting for eggs to hatch, but when you get one it is brilliant - nothing better. |

| One broody we had wouldn't get off the nest to eat, drink and poop so I lifted her off the nest for a short while each day - you will soon know if your broody is leaving the nest without watching her 24/7, the size and smell of her poop will be obvious! Good luck, great fun watching a broody with chicks. |

Don't forget to run up and down with excitement, and towards the end, pacing and wearing a hole in the walk to the coop |
