My Buffs were hatched Mid-feb, and Mr Buff has been doing the business with the girls....(Not often, but it has been hot!!!!) for a while now.......one of the buffs has been laying for a month now......
Question.........
Would the eggs be fertile yet ? or would it be best to leave it a while longer ?
Anyone wanna try hatching any ????? Theyre free !!!!! |

| Even if they are fertile it isn't recommended to hatch eggs from such young birds |

I think it would be sensible to wait a little longer, winter is coming so it would just mean that any chicks would have to be kept indoors for alot longer, unless you incubate them now. Usually I put my last lot in on the 1st week of sept and start again the 2nd week of Feb (So they hatch in March) this way they can go outside in the sun during the day!
If you want to wait until spring i would be happy to incubate some for you (I've just put my last setting of eggs on this morning) |

You'll just have to cure your urge for chicks by going and getting those Jubilee Orps.... |

Bloody hell Deb, did I miss something, was he shouting? Want me to cuff him round the ear (It didn't look like shouting to me )
Knobby, you have a loverly incubator sitting in my hallway, already in it's box waiting for you
You also, luckily!!!, have a lovely Muppet, not sitting in a box waiting for you.
I say lucky, cos I couldn't find her this morning and when I got hoime to start my search, she was there I reckon she was hiding |

NannyP, I was just teasing him for the exclamation points at the end of his sentence. |
