Could the silkies have any Aracuna in them somewhere. The head tuft reminds me of the Shetlands, who have head tufts, could a little bit have got mixed in? Maybe? Confused

possibly, but the little silkie's not really old enough to start laying, and the older one lays lovely little creamy coloured eggs on a regular basis. As for the blackbird idea, don't think booster would let them into the nest boxes and it would have a hell of a sore bottie! Shocked
