tell me more about keeping pigs, how much space? will they like an overgrown wooded paddock?

i think we had about 1/4 of an acre ,they would love a over grown wooded paddock,ours were very easy to look after .they had a wooden shed that my uncle made out of old pallets ,i really loved them ,i wouldn't keep 2 again as i got to fond of them to take them to you know where,i would keep 3 i think as it was a bit easyer ,they ate everything all the weeds and the pea halms ect ,the only thing was when i was young and carefree ,i used to have a radio that didn't turn down and i used to have to keep it under a bucket to keep it quieter ,i used to take it to feed the pigs they knew it was me and used to sqeell ,they did a fantastic job of clearing the weeds and we used to put chickens on it for a while and then rotivte it and then grow veg there ,great system ,three things on 1/4 of an acre although there are some types of pigs that don't turn the gound and tend to graze instead ,

not to tempt you nigel, but chesterfield rspca has a little 3 month old piggie to rehome. he'd just been dumped at a railway station. awwwww poor piggy. needs a good home

I have to wait for the Leisure and Allotment sub committee to meet in September before I know for definate wether I can have the pigs or not. Fingers crossed.

my back garden is tiny, maybe it could just turn up! someone liberated some light sussex on the allotment last month
