| That's really difficult - are you going to make the move to going organic - or are you going to shop around? |

Why bother with organic, your hens don't mind. Grow a crop of organic wheat and you will only get half a crop, that is where the price difference come in. Not that the farmer gets the mark up. Allen & Page do top quality pellets, they also do organic, you could try them.
Regards George. |

| We've had a real problem getting anyone to supply us with organic pellets, our feed supplier used to stock them but stopped as there was no demand. I think we may have located some now form a poultry breeder just down the A50 from us and he can deliver. I haven't dare ask about price yet |

I Don't mind paying for anything, but it seems we are encouraged to be echo friendly, and get encouraged to eat wholesome and organic foods cos they are best and then u hit this straight away |

I get my organic layers pellets from Marriages
Their site has a postcode search facility to find a local stockist

I use the Allen and Page smallholder range, which has no chemicals, is GM free and is vegetarian society approved. The feed is top quality and costs between £6-7 a sack. You could try looking up a local stockist on their website her
