Hello everyone!
Im new here and was hoping that you could help me please.
I am trying to find someone who has utility sussex or some hardy hybrid (not Black rocks, I cant stand them!) for free range/barn laying system, im trying to get 200 day old pullets but need them delivered to Aberdeenshire.
I used to get my chicks from wales but recently they have been getting my order wrong and last time there was almost 30 cockerals in my 100 "sexed" pullets! They refused to refund me for them so I havnt taken any more now the search is on for a new supplier! They must be day old as POL dont travel long distance well and there are usually a few with their feet in the air the following day!
Hope you can help me

Tried a few companies off of the net already and the reply is usually we cant supply that many, we dont do that small a number of vhicks or we dont deliver, some dont even reply to my e-mails!
Ive found with google search put "chick" into it and most of the sites are most certainly not talking about chickens!!!!

Hi and Welcome. Very Happy

Over here the hatcheries sell in lots of 25. I don't think any American based hatchery will ship to you though. Sad

Sorry I can't be of help.

If you are after hybrid hens why not buy point of lay. There is a Meadowsweet agent in Ellon, Geoff Heath, Blackriggs Poultry, Tel 01358 701637. The Sussex Star look a nice bird.

I could probably get you two hundred L/Sussex day olds but not until Oct/Nov and I couldn't bring them any further than Edinburgh. I would also need to know by tomorrow 11th August.

Regards George.
