Sorry Deb, the faverolle isn't a faverolle after all, it dosen't have feathered feet and there was a doubt about who's egg it was. Turns out to be Leghorn X Light Sussex but beautiful anyway Very Happy

A colleague has put in for her driving test - about 2-3 months unless she gets a cancellation I think.

So the father is a leghorn then? Confused and the mother a light sussex (unless its the other way round) Shocked what colour leghorn?

No Sally, the first pic post is of the pure bred Leghorn chick, the little yellow one on the second post is the Leghorn father sussex mother. I want to take them to bed to cuddle them. I'm jealous of Mumsy being able to tuck them under her wing all day. Razz

Yep, the only thing about a broody is that she does the caring and you have to take a turn when she's not looking. I still prefer it to what I imagine an incubator hatch would be like though. Just miss that you're not the mum!! Laughing
