I have kept the bantam pullets separate from the other hens, thought they may bully the poor little things.
This morning as I let them out, they flew past me and out into the big wide world ...well, the field where the other hens were pecking about. One of the light sussex older bantams approached the three bantams who escaped, and one of the pullets started to fight it. It then turned its attention to the RIR cockerel, Charlie who was most interested in the new girls.
And there was me thinking they would be bullied by the big hens!!
After a bit of a chase I managed to catch them and put them back with the others. |

Ha Ha just goes to show size doesn't matter in chickeny world.
My little modern game bantys are more than a match for the big girls and often give them a quick peck if they're in the way |

Sounds like they have been making war plans in secret! you better check under the coop for secret tunnels lol , When they come out check for the ones that are hiding dirt under thier wings and drop it bit by bit as they go over to the water , all nonchalant like , sure sign a tunnel is underway! Keep an eye on the ginger one , "Ginger" always has a plan! lol |

Lol!!! How did you know one was ginger
Its true the small ones are the fiesty ones. The silkie and the light sussex bantams are out with the big hens, and they push their way forward to the feed, and will stand up to any trouble. |
