Ok, so it doesn't take too much to impress me! Wink Miss Bossy Britches has laid me another egg - Woohoo! Smile So I'm guessing she's quite happy in her new abode with Fluffybum (unfortunately I have an inkling that those names are going to stick Rolling Eyes poor wee lassies)

They have also relaxed alot, usually when I open their pophole they will take 10-15 minutes before they would venture out and then it was very hesitantly after making sure I wasn't too close......

This morning though, as soon as I unlocked the main door I heard them jump off the roosts and bukking to each other until I opened the pophole and were out and down the ladder before I had even opened the door properly! They weren't even concerned that I was only a couple of cm's from them. Dancing Oh and they even put themselves to bed around 8pm. Clever wee sausages!

Why on earth is it so much harder to train children??!! bandhead

Because children take longer to mature and live longer than chicken.

Edited because I really shouldn't try to type & use the phone simultaneously

I found that it takes only 2-3 days to train kids to do anything....once you go the right way about it. That goes for potty training, bedtime routines and any of the little things that make life easier all round.......

Ditto for polishing Mummy's jackboots every night.... Embarassed

Yep, a whole two! I'll keeping the entire street in eggs at this rate Wink Tis a good thing that there's only two of us that eats eggs! Very Happy

Ol' Fluffybum seems to be the more timid of the two but they are both getting more outgoing by the day.

Weeeeell, yeah - I can feel a severe case of GGMC (gotta get more chooks) developing shortly. I'm trying to resist the urge to fill the coop to capacity since I'd rather have less chooks with more room. Plus, Ive come up with a plan so cunning you can stick a tail on it and call it a weasel (sorry! Razz ) to hatch out some LF eggs as soon as one goes nice and clucky. I'd also like to tame these girls up enough that I can let them freerange without working myself into a right tizz Rolling Eyes and perhaps they'll teach their chicks good manners Wink Laughing

Crikey! sounds like a plan so good you could tie a possum onto a crocs tail and wake the blighter up and wind up the crocs alarm clock at the same time !! lol Laughing Laughing Laughing ...... Taming is easy , get some corn and shake it out like your the pied piper , they will all come to you and then pick them up one by one .. give them a hug and a few corns .. they will very soon see you are they "candy" lady and come running to you from afar! , gives you a good way to check them over for things too once they know you are the "treats on the way " lady!!!
