| Ended up with one cream legbar one White sussex although the breeder had so many different ones I had to be really restrained not to come out with many more!! Will post photos when I have taken them |

From a breeder in derby PM me and i will pass on his phone number he has some at 8 weeks and some under the lamp as well as a range of other breeds.  |

How long do other CLB keepers find they're productive for? And how long are the coq's "useful" for? I'm asking as my original pair both seem to be "past it" already; she's just 2, and he's probably about the same age.
It's now about 4 months since she gave us an egg ... and he's in "sick bay" looking ancient, although nothing obviously wrong with him. He never really picked-up again after his mystery illness. |

Well, in my experience (see post above yours), not brilliant. Maybe 4 eggs a week at BEST, go off-lay at the drop of a hat.
Maybe I haven't got a "good" strain of hen ... |
