to lay your suspicions to rest - those feet belong to me I was busy putting a blow torch over all the joints and cracks in the coop and the 2 wyandottes come to 'help' or check on health and safety or even heaven forbid, get in the way!! |

Here is a question. How can you tell the males from the females in the youngsters? Just curious I have managed to hatch out one silver laced wyandotte chick and am intrigued as to how to sex it?? All help gratefully received |

Hi all,
Just wondering does anyone know whether there is such a thing as a blue laced bantam? I've only seen them as large foul and much as I would like them, my husband thinks we have enough big birds with our 2 RIR and 2 black rocks. I'm thinking if poss. I would quite like to raise them from eggs if anyone knows where I can get any??
Thanks
Lizz |

We had 3 blue-laced wyandottes (only have 1 now ) & I believe you can get blue-laced Barnevelder bantams also. |

breeding laced Wyandottes;
If you mate:
Gold laced X Gold laced = 100% gold laced
Blue laced X Blue laced = 50% Blue laced,25% Gold laced,25% Buff laced
Blue X Buff laced = 50% Blue laced , 50% Buff laced
Buff laced X Gold Laced = 100% Blue laced
Buff laced X Buff laced = 100% buff laced
Blue X Black = 50% Blue laced, 50% Gold Laced |

Thats a fantastic looking hen Bluelaced. The lacing is great and she has a nice comb too. I'm sure she would do well at any show |

| Thank you, I really like her and have been concentrating on breeding this year, but will get her to some shows and see how she goes on. I have another promising girl and although her ground colour is good I dont think her lacing is as good as the hen above. |
