According to the manufacturer it's 2 teaspoons to 5kg. I worked it out to 1 teaspoon to 4kg....5gr to 4kg.

Second strategy. Kept them all locked in their pens until they were really starving. Got pellets and mixed in a little olive oil and the secret ingredient, dried Oregano.......they ate it all in a flash!

I wish that I'd had a camera the last time I gave them porridge because the rooster got some stuck on his beak and he had a lovely lady either side trying to peck it off and it looked very sweet when they both did it at exactly the same time. Verm X going in porridge next time as they have all just left the three water containers full up because I put it in there!

Just bear in mind that verm-x is only claims to prevent worms, not kill any they may have.

Thank you. I will re-weigh and then measure in the teaspoon again. |

I use pasta, I read that pasta is a great alternative food for hens and mine get it as a treat but i have found it is great for flubenvet. The pasta is wet so the powder sticks nicely to it. I usually mix it with a bit of poultry spice and they wolf it down. The best thing is that once a hen has a piece of pasta they usually run off with it to eat it then return for more when it is eaten, This means that the more timid hens get a chance to get their fill.
