now then you clever lot tell me everything you can about these wonderfull chickens...................already i know they keep they indoors as pets in japan........cant get budgies?? my intrest has soared since today i have hatched some chicks from eggs from stock grown from eggs from kated in the uk ........the chick would fit in a tiny egg cup they are so small and prettily striped too

Are they what we call Japanese Bantams. If they are, then I know they produce birds with either long or short legged. You are supposed to breed short legged to short legged, but there is a lethal gene so a percentage of dead in shell. There is also a breed club in Britain with a good website. They shuffle along the ground.

my dutch pal says they are chobo jap bantams my french says kyoto jap bantams so what are they in uk

3 hatched like fairy mice wearing feather boas.......really tiny.could hide behind a match box ..and aint they fast scooting about a huge brooder playing tag...lovely markings too

they are called SUPERB in this house everyone is ohing and aring............they are as small but really lively .. now if i can get mrs mojo to pay for a new pen..................maybe a new flock

never managed to hatch any of these, bought about 5 sets of fertile eggs now and none have survived the post:(

just counted the years production up 23 total 13 coqs 10 hens.............and they still intreage me ..going to try to breed two differant colour lines next years..........partridge and champagne .......wish me luck oh yes and Mrs Mojo let me have a new pen just for them
