My hen, who I've had for a few months now, has a very short toenail, almost like it's been clipped really low. It doesn't extend past the end of her toe. I noticed it about a week ago.
It doesn't seem to cause her any pain or difficulty walking, scratching etc. and there was never any blood. How might this have happened and do I need to do anything about it?
Thanks,
Dan

You don't need to do anything. Either she broke it before you had her or it's always been like that, but as it doesn't bother her, don't worry.
