Hi, I recently aquired 9 young polish bantams in need of a new home. I have never kept these before but am very taken with there friendly nature.
One doesnt move much at all, and when she does ussually ends up running into things. Has a huge crest blocking vision.
So after some research I have trimmed some feathers so she can see but no change
I've tried feeding from hand, but wont eat. Placing by water, but wont drink. Her eyes are closed most of the time unless I disturb her.
I made the desicion today to seperate her from the others as they all seem so healthy and active.
Is there anything I can do for her? What could be wrong with her?
Any advice appreciated
Thanks Jo |

| If she's sitting about with closed eyes & won't eat or drink, she sounds a sick bird. My usual advice is seperate, and watch for 24 hours, but check whether she has anything in her crop too. |

Thank you for the reply Henwife, I did check her crop today but nothing there.
Will see how she is in the morning, maybe a trip to the vets or she might be too far gone for that. I only rehomed these since monday so dont know how long shes been like this.
Thanks Jo |
