can anyone help? we got a RIR cross about 3 weeks ago. she was really thriving - laying, noisy, squared up to the older ones - and won, etc. but now she seems to spend most of the day stood still and quiet. i just offered her some corn and she ignored it. i'm not sure if she's laying now either. any guesses?

Is it likely she is just about to moult?. Mine always seem to loose zest just before?

i suppose so. her feathers look fine at the moment, but a couple of the others are starting to look a bit rough around the edges. so she could be getting ready. do they stop laying too as the egg production has dropped a bit? if so, do they start again and how long does it last?
