|
|
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a very good reliable broodie that I could beg, borrow or steal for some eggs that I have? They are peafowl eggs and I would prefer to hatch/rear them with a broodie rather than in an incubator as I think they have a much better chance with a hen to look after them!! I have 5 eggs so either a large fowl or 2 bantams as the eggs are the size of turkey eggs
I'm in North wales by the way
thanks in advance |

Right, one of my pekins has very kindly obliged and gone broody. Next question is, will she be able to rear 5 peafowl chicks? I will replace her eggs with the chicks (hopefully ) but I'm not sure she will be able to brood 5 pealets.........
Anyone got any advice?? |

| Pekins expand to cover the chicks available - they really do. |
