I just opened the incubator this morning to let out a little humidity as it was getting high and asked "any life in here" and though no eggs have pipped I got a very quiet "cheep cheep" in response! I'll take that as a yes then!

hopefully we'll have pippage by tonight and hatching by morning Smile

after my last 2 disasters I'm hoping for a good result!

Thankyou!

So far I have 2 chicks and a number of eggs pipped, at least 2 of which are starting the zip round Smile

well so far I have the 12 I need for my project, 2 more newly hatched in the incubator, one egg that's pipped but got no further yet and 2 eggs I don't think are still alive.

the last 3 chicks to hatch are a lot weaker than the others were when they hatched, one didn't make it and the other two are very much quieter and less active - I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet, I'll probably raise them for a while and see if they strengthen up.

pic time!

I'm not sure about these - I think they are a random bantam roo with some bantam warrens.

I tried to get bantam light sussex close enough to pick up but couldn't.
