| My Blue Orpington has just thrown out one of her eggs from her nest, they are due to hatch tomorrow and one of them is pipping, I candled last week and they're all as they should be. Ive quickly put the egg in an incubator but why would she eject the egg when none have yet hatched? |

| May have been an accident on her part. Did you test if it's still live? If not, then she knew it was a no-hoper. Broodies do have a sense about dead eggs. |

ok, chicked hatched in incubator fine, I didn't put the egg back under hen as unfortunatly I found two chicks dead under her, or rather stuck under her So the situation is she has one chick under her doing fine and I have two chicks in the incubator, the one has only just hatched and yet to fluff up, when should I put them under the Hen? |

Maybe I missed something but why did you take the chicks away if they weren't dead, and she was still sitting? I'd try and put them all back asap and monitor the situation closely.
Chicks look dead for a day or so after hatching, and off and on when they are slopping for a couple of days. |
