| The cock died a few months ago, do you think that is why the chick is so small then? She is very healthy and happy just little. |

I didn't purcahse then with the interest in breeding. I was at an auction as no one bid on then and the owner was going to neck them if not sold. They was in poor condition when we got them and i nurtured them back to health. They both had a lot of feather damage and fret & hunger lines on their tail feathers. He took 3 months to get back into good health and he went on to produce 3 gorgeous chicks. Only 1 out of 4 eggs hatched that was from the pair of oeg's, the other 3 were dead in shell.
Thank you so much for your advice, i must sound like a complete newbie! |

i was amazed at there fertility rate!

only get oxfords though
or get some american bantams |

thanks harry, yes it s legal in two parts in north of france with steelspurs
like you in older time but frenchfighters are more heavy than oxford around 8 to 10 pounds weight and now the breed is lost a lot of cross with
shamo and asiatgame. i have a friend who breed the original frenchgame but its very difficult to find no outcross.
the ginger have killed the other brownred with naturalspurs because he break his tiecord. he do his job in 30 minutes its real oxford game deadheel. but in france its impossible to find oxford iam very lucky to find them.
this is pic of my hens, see you yours pyles are very very nice

Sorry i just want to say they are very fine purebreed pyle!!!(if they are atkinsonbreed it s mythical!!!)
do you have heard about cheshire pyle?
when are you dubbing yours own stag's at 6,7,8months?
in france there is an idea that dubbing, dishearten the tail...what is your opinion?
Sorry for all of these questions in one time, but i am very happy to speak with an oxford expert like you

Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone could tell me what my bantams are? They were bought at a feed supplier for 20 euros (approx £15) with a hen. The hen was very feather-pecked but now looks great. I have been told that they may be Dutch Gold bantams or Seramas. I think they are too heavy for Seramas. The cockerel is 725 grams and the hen is 600 grams. I don't know how old they are but the hen has been laying for a week. The cockerel looks older (see comb and spurs). Would it be better for me to remove the spurs? I understood from someone on this forum that you can do this with hot candle wax but i don't really know how large they should be. He must find them a nuisance as he clicks them together when walking. Hope someone out there can help me. Thanks.

Your gingers are very nice
some poultry judges forget that gingers and pyles are a totaly different type to other colours and strains
an oxford isnt always just an oxfor
pyles are more leggy and taller
gingers are a tough pit fowl
the thing with atkinson pictures is that he painted birds how they wanted them to look
not how they actuly were so its a bit useless to compare with atkinson painting
in england we have this thing about american fowl
the american fowl is closer the the orignal oxford than the so called english ones
have u seen the carisle type
that is wat they call gamefowl in england
they are all mad |
