Hiya, I have 4 ex-battery hens which I love and adore, but only really had the set up for 2 in the first place (the hen rescue team were very persistant).

I would like to re-home two of the girls, leaving more space for my other two. I can't kill them. They are regular egg layers, every day and have really come on loads since rescued 4 months ago.

They will eat out of your hand and are not bothered by kids. They are Loman brown hybids, bred for their docility and egg production.

I am in stoke-on-trent and will deliver them if not to far away..

hope someone can help, many thanks, tim.

What lovely hens - very large too!! Your girls are absolutely fine - I sneaked them into the hen hut last night as it was going dark. I have kept them in the run today until they get used to theri new home. Tomorrow they will be able to free range over the fields with the other ex batts. Oh, and there was an egg this morning - so the journey home did not upset them, then!!!

Thank you ever so much for the two girls - they will be well looked after, and hopefully have a long and happy life.

And it was so nice to meet you, and have a nice chat LOL!!!!

My other girls seem undisturbed with their absence. Laying as usual and happy to eat from my hands. Very Happy
