After feeling so good at puttin in my first tags in the lambs ears I'm now fed up! Why do they always pull them out? When their mums first came they did the same till i got the tags that were in 2 parts. Somehow the 2 ewe lambs have managed to lose one each and one ram lamb has managed, God knows how, to almost pull the thicker part through the hole!!! I've had to take it out and treat the hole as it was bleeding. As these tags end up each side of the ear and not looped round them I haven't a clue how they have managed to lose them - how do others stop this? |

Good idea but the girls are staying and i didn't fancy doing the rams when they had grown up - bit of a coward at heart . |

If i was a bit closer milkmaid i'd come and do it for you bit toooo far for one tag tho!!
and chris, make sure the female part of the tag is on the inside of the ear, so the mail part is inside the ear when in place,
