We have built a lovely new run for our 4 girls how can we make it a bit more interesting for them?

Old Run and Coop.

HubbyNick and Daughter Daisy in the new run with the girls.

Old run being dismantled within new run to give you an idea of the different sizes.

Thanks again for your help.

Wow! What a lovely run!

I would do away with the wigwam of sticks and create a sturdy log pile instead - the chooks will love to sit in the logs to preen, sunbathe and snooze. Maybe put a hanging basket up to put some greens in, or some means of hanging a cabbage stalk or similar up.

Somewhere for a dust bath? (But they'll soon create their own if not!) A cat litter tray, large gravel tray, or similar with soil or play sand in it. (You can sprinkle your mite & louse powders in it, they really work it into their feathers)

Is there somewhere to shelter from bad weather? (Although mine stay outside through everything - just plain ungrateful!! Wink )

Fantastic new run for them! I hang an old cd in the run to keep them occupied and some logs to climb on as CPL mentioned.

A covered area would be nice so they can still get out if its wet weather.

Mines half covered, cos Pekins shouldnt get wet feet.

Not sure about that, maybe need to build a bigger coop for a couple more but I think my daughter might have something to say if I took up much more of HER garden lol
