| As long as they can dunk their heads in water to clean their ears, eyes and bills they don't really need a pond. Sorry but I've kept waterfowl for donkey's years, and when you keep lots of different breeds of duck in the breeding season you can't let them all on a pond. |

Sorry i meant to say, i will provide them with somewhere to swim  sooooooooo...
Would 2 ducks and 1 drake be ok in a 3x4 metre pen on grass with a small pond? thanks again for everyones help.

| I have to say, that would barely be big enough. They do have big flat feet, and soon turn a small area into mud. The more space the better, and I have to say, the more ducks to drakes the better. They do get very loving, and can hurt the ducks. The more ducks there are to share the load the better life they have. |

if just got a pair of kharki campbell they have laid a egg a day so far and only seem noisy when im really close i have a pond but keeping them penned for now till they no where home is,apparently they are content with a little paddle area,you could use those sandpit container type thing,
this is there house and there temporary pen.

Why has everyone tried to put you off ducks I don't know.
Ducks are fantastic pets and some are great layers. We have a number of ducks who as the main freerange in the garden, unless penned up for breeding pure.
The breeding pens are on concrete Flags so I can hose the whole Thing Down daily to keep clean.
Ducks are not as hard to keep as you think. As long as they have water to clean their heads they are happy.
Mine have access to a pool to swim. The Runners haven't been in it once lol They prefer the bucket of water. |
