It's only when you get dirty shells that it's not advisable to keep them more than a week as duck egg shells are more porous than hens shells. So if the shells are mucky there's more chance of bacteria penetrating the shell and contaminating the egg. He says you can really taste the flavour differance in them to hens eggs. He loves them. I thought Duck eggs could be washed with warm water? They are supposed to be fab in cakes and baking though.
