If the duck eggs are clean you can put them in the fridge (best) and keep them for about 2 weeks sometimes longer. It's only when you get dirty shells that it's not advisable to keep them more than a week as duck egg shells are more porous than hens shells.
So if the shells are mucky there's more chance of bacteria penetrating the shell and contaminating the egg. |

I've kept ducks for 22 years and never eaten a duck egg.
No reason except that I'm not that keen on eggs |

My hubby loves duck eggs.
He says you can really taste the flavour differance in them to hens eggs. He loves them.
I thought Duck eggs could be washed with warm water? We don't bother, never left long enough to matter lol |

| I've never had a duck egg before either, don't know why but I just don't fancy them. They are supposed to be fab in cakes and baking though. |
