Just teasing knobby - she is lovely! With all those feathers it's hard to tell what size se is anyway! If I couldn't be bothered to tease you (that's why I put in the Wink ) then it would show I couldn't be bothered to be friends!

(warped logic - I do work with special needs kids all day! lol!)

She's really lovely. I might have to get one, I heard they dig less in the garden/flower beds. Is this true??

My girls are really scared with this thunder around. Sad Sad I think I might have to bring them in.

Wouldn't you like a boy one AC? My Sandy is gorgeous and although he has enormous feet he doesn't dig the garden up at all. Also his crow is quite mellow and not piercing at all.

I've been counting toes on my new Dorking, and I kept coming up with six, until I realised she has spurs! I know she's a hen because she laid an egg yesterday, so do Dorking hens have spurs?

I was told she was about 9 months old, should she have 1cm long spurs at that age? and do I need to file them down? they look rather pointed

I'll try and get a picture, but she's a little nervous and getting close enough to get a good photo may be difficult.
