No, not all bantams. Our Welsummer & RIR bantams have never gone broody but the Wyandottes do fairly regularly.
We also have quite a few X-breeds & several of those are good broodies.  |

| sikies and sussex cross bantams but its not a forgone conclusion..........in all my time raising poultry i have had very few broodys and never a bantam |

Funny you should post that - my 1 & only Jap bantam is also broody at the moment!
No idea about the Scots greys as I haven't got any of those. |

| Thanks, im likeing my japanese bantam chicks, can kinda see what there gonna look like when there older now. It will be a few weeks before i can tell what sex they are though. |

| Mojo, if the japs go broody use them. They make the best mums I ever had. Better than silkies. And the dads are gentle and caring so you don't need to remove them. |

| kated ........16 yes 16 jap chicks of all shades from cream via caramel to dark pheasant running around the brooder like crazy mice...............and yes all from your eggs you sent here...........so a great thanks............and will see if i get a broody next spring |
