I am after some advise as to the size of perch i need to put up in a 12 ft stable.
i obviously need a run of wood 12ft in lengh but what size in circumference and how high should i put it, also would you put one higher and one lower so that i have 2 lengths of wood,

In your situation I would use 2inch X 1 inch timber but make a framework like a table (without the flat top of course) about 4 foot long by 2 foot wide and 30inches high.
Easy to move around, take outside for cleaning etc. |

Same, i wouldn't put a permanant 12ft perch in i would build a moveable perch like hen-gen said  |

| dont forget to round off corners so its easier to grip perch and about twice as tall as tallest chicken |
